This home is perfect if you’re looking for a more relaxed, off-the-beaten-path sort of mountain experience, as it’s only 15 miles from the Cosby entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains. This lesser-known spot offers a serene escape and a fantastic way to enjoy the Park without the hustle and bustle of other entry points..
This home does not skimp on CHARM. From the moment you walk into our thoughtfully decorated chalet, we want you to feel at home. This all starts with how we set up our beds to maximize the space.
The home is a 3/2 equipped with a king and two queen beds. Additionally, we’ve converted the den into a game room we equipped with three arcade games, an air hockey table and a foosball table (photos coming summer 2025). Please keep in mind that this game room must be walked through in order to enter the two downstairs bedrooms, as it’s located at the base of the staircase that leads downstairs.
If you want to “work from home,” we’ve got you covered there too with our high-speed 200 mbps internet. Or completely disconnect by having a coffee, cocktail or ice cold cerveza on one of two porches.
Sure, eating at Gatlinburg’s best restaurants is fun. But sometimes we all need a nice home-cooked meal, right? That’s why our kitchen is stocked with all the essentials you’ll need to cook you and your family a nice dinner.
There are 2 TVs- one in the living room and one in the game room.
While we don’t offer cable, both TVs are equipped with streaming capabilities for watching all your guilty pleasures. So feel free to BYOL (bring your own login) and log in to any service you’re subscribed to.
While the home is technically equipped to host 7 people, we think the perfect group size is 5-6. We’re happy to host all 7, but keep in mind it is a little cozier as it’s a 1500 square foot home and somebody would most likely be sleeping on the sofa, unless you can fit three people in the king.
We also provide a pack ‘n play for anyone traveling with a kiddo 🙂
But wait, there’s more!
When you book a stay in our home, you’ll get access to two community pools (open from Memorial Day to Labor Day) and a tennis court—all located in the Cobbly Nob community.
On top of that, we have a jacuzzi outside on the covered patio where you can sit and relax with your friends and family. PLEASE make sure to put the cover back on after each use.
While we won’t be available in person, we’re always available via phone/text should anything arise.
Cobbly Nob is home to some of the most magnificent views in all of Tennessee—overlooking both Bent Creek Golf Course and the Greenbriar section of the national park.
Our chalet is located in the heart of the Cobbly Nob community. We are only:
– 6 mins to Bent Creek Golf Course
– 8 mins to the Climb Works Zipline Tours
– 15 mins to downtown Gatlinburg.
– 15–30 mins to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park
– 28 mins to whitewater rafting on the Pigeon River
– 30 mins to Dollywood
As a road, Route 321 has been very well maintained. However, if you haven’t done much mountain driving then we definitely recommend you take it slow.
With that said, the mountainous roads of Cobbly Nob are most definitely some of the best in the area. The roads are both paved and wide enough for any vehicle. AWD and 4×4 vehicles aren’t needed, a standard 2WD will work.
For the most part, the road has good reception and your GPS/cell phone should work just fine getting up to the chalet.
We are only 7 miles from Greenbriar Cove. During the spring, the wildflowers you’ll find there are breathtaking.
If you like hiking, we are also very close to Ramsey Cascades (also a great wildflowers viewing opp).
IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ

We take the sanitation and cleaning procedures of our home very seriously. All linens are laundered with every new stay, and all commonly touched surfaces and objects are sanitized with every clean.
The house is cute and cozy but please keep in mind that this chalet is older and there are areas where its age shows. Please do not roast us in your review because some of the doors are hard to open. We believe we are priced fairly and appropriately, so if you require something super high end and modern, this is not your place.
The grill is not intended for guest use. We do not list it as an amenity. Thank you for your cooperation.
AWD or 4×4 vehicles are advised and strongly encouraged during the winter season, as we do have what would be considered a steep driveway, especially to novice mountain drivers. We do not refund based on weather or snowfall.
You’ll need to be able to climb up ~30 stairs to access the home.
While the Cobbly Nob resort offers multiple small pools, they are generally open seasonally starting in summertime. The closest is the Sunshine Pool.
Please keep in mind that we run on septic. So please do not flush ANYTHING that’s not toilet paper.
In an effort to secure the premises, we’ve installed a Ring floodlight at the front of the home. The neighborhood is very safe, but this helps us keep an eye on the property 🙂
Occasionally, you may see Mama Bear and her cubs. While they are adorable, please do not touch or go near them. And while they are so cute and look hungry, don’t feed them, or leave any food or trash in your car. Again, DO NOT LEAVE FOOD IN YOUR CAR OR THEY COULD BREAK IN. If you give Ms. Berenstain and her kids some time, they will migrate off the land 🙂
It is HIGHLY advisable that you download an Offline Map of the Gatlinburg area on your Maps app.
Here’s how you do it:
1) Open Maps and search Gatlinburg.
2) Tap the word “Gatlinburg” on the bottom of the screen and this will expand the bottom half of the screen.
3) On the top right, you will see three dots. Tap this button and select “Download offline map.”
4) Zoom out to download the entire Gatlinburg region. Make sure to capture everything between Pigeon Forge and Cosby.
NO PARTIES OR EVENTS WHATSOEVER. We have a ring security camera on-site and are able to see if people outside your group comes to the house. This will result in an IMMEDIATE cancellation of your reservation with NO refund.
We run on septic. Please only flush toilet paper and NOTHING else. If the septic clogs during your stay, a fee will be assessed to have a plumber come and make repairs.

This is a NO shoes house. All shoes must be taken off at entry. There is a $10 fee per carpet/rug stain left in the home. Please understand this takes A LOT of extra time to clean.

NO Pets of any kind, no exceptions
NO Excessive guests
NO Mailing Packages to the home.
NO PARTYING of any kind inside or on the property. Please respect the community. Noise level MUST BE MINIMAL after 10PM! There is a noise level city ordinance we do not want complaints! Violation of the noise/party rule will result in the police being called, termination of your reservation, and the security deposit retained. We must respect the peace of the community! Thank you.
PENALTIES FOR THE FOLLOWING. Held against security deposit and claim will be filed with Airbnb.
**Stolen towels: $10 per towel, no matter the size.
** Smoking in the home: $150
**Lost Keys: $50 to rekey
**Late Checkout Past 10am without our consent. $75
**Excessive Guests than reservation. $50 per guest.
**Excessive Cleaning if place is left filthy with trash everywhere. $150
